Namibia, October 4th, 2018- In the framework of the Second Land Conference held in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, the Cuban expert on agrarian issues, Msc. Eddy Soca Baldoquín, held a pleasant meeting with President Hage Geingob.
Soca Baldoquí, who is the Director of Soils and Land Control of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Island, is in Namibia fulfilling a request made by the African leader to his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel.
During the meeting, the Namibian leader expressed his gratitude for the presence of Cuba in the Conference and for the experiences provided. On the eve, the Cuban expert made a broad speech at the inauguration of the event on the historical context in which the two Agrarian Reforms were held in Cuba and their subsequent results.
President Geingob recalled his recent interview with the Cuban President in New York, as well as some of his meetings with the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro. He thanked for the historical support of Cuba to his country before and after independence.
For his part, the expert of the Island thanked the invitation made and the possibility of holding such a meeting with the President. He also moved the willingness of the Cuban government and peoples to continue supporting their Namibian brothers in the areas they choose.
