The VI Iberoamerican Film Festival in Ghana was inaugurated by the Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, who was accompanied at the ceremony by the Ambassadors of: Mexico, Spain, Brazil, and Colombia, Mrs. María de los Ángeles Arriola Aguirre, Mrs. Alicia Rico Pérez del Pulgar, Mrs. Maria Teófilo de Luna, Mrs. Claudia Turbay Quintero, respectively, and the Chargé d’Affaires of Peru, Mr. Miguel Ramírez Moscoso.
Attendees at the opening of the VI edition of the Festival enjoyed the screening of Viva Cuba, a film made in 2005, starring by children, and which highlights values such as friendship and solidarity.
The film exhibition was attended by officials of the Ibero American Embassies, professors and students of the University of Ghana, as well as members of the Ibero American community residing in Ghana, including Cuban residents, as well as a representation of the Cuban Medical Brigade.
The VI Festival, during which five other films will be shown, will conclude on 16th December.
