Cuban film “Why do my friends cry?” to be screened at film festival in New Zealand

Wellington, August 30th , 2019. The movie “Why do my friends cry?”, by the Cuban filmmaker Magda González Grau, will be presented at the 2019 edition of the Latin America and Spain Film Festival (LASFF).

The film tells the story of four friends who meet after twenty years without seeing each other. It is a clear demonstration of the challenges that women face in today's Cuban society. It is a movie to laugh and cry, but, above all, to reflect on diversity, friendship and honesty.

The Cuban film will be presented in Wellington on September 11th , as part of the Festival that will run until the first days of November and will cover a total of eleven cities in New Zealand. In addition, this film will open the exhibition in the city of Palmerston North on October 18th , an occasion that will be used to celebrate Cuban Culture Day. (Embacuba NZ).
