Havana, Jun 17, 2020.- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez condemned on Wednesday all expressions of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia.
Upon stating that the Caribbean nation joins the debates of the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), the head of Cuban diplomacy called to fight against human rights violations because of skin color and ethnic origin.
We join our voices to the debates of #HRC43, Rodriguez posted on his Twitter account, upon explaining that we live in an increasingly unequal and complex world.
During the resuming of the HRC session on Monday, the African countries proposed to organize for this Wednesday an urgent debate on racism and police violence, within the global rally due to George Floyd death by a former US police officer. Until Friday, June 19, the delegations will resume the pending debates in the Council's agenda, and some resolutions on several human rights issues will be adopted.
