Havana, August 21, 2026. - The U.S. Secretary of State continues to punish Cuban companies with the deliberate aim of harming our economy and preventing the Cuban government from guaranteeing basic services to the population, which are already in a critical situation as a result of the blockade, denounced Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla via his account on the social media platform X.
The Cuban Foreign Minister noted that, in particular, these measures hinder the transport of containers carrying food, medicines, and medical devices, most of which are purchased by private Cuban micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
In his futile obsession against Cuba, the Secretary of State is now targeting executives and officials of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), an institution that for more than six decades has promoted friendship, international solidarity, justice, and peace, Rodríguez Parrilla emphasized.
The minister noted that these values are the exact opposite of what the Secretary of State has always promoted in his corrupt policy against Cuba. (EmbaCuba Egipto/CubaMinrex)
