Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla denounced that the United States maintains coercive measures and unilateral lists implemented by the previous administration, despite the rejection of world opinion.
Through his Twitter account , Rodríguez affirmed that President Joseph Biden is turning his back on the vast majority of the Cuban and American people by adopting the provisions of Republican Donald Trump.
"The abyss between speech and reality is growing," added the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Previously, Rodríguez highlighted on Twitter the "unalterable hostility" of the US administration's policy against the Caribbean nation.
"The Biden government keeps Cuba on the list of countries that do not cooperate in the fight against terrorism," he said, and also denounced the application of the 243 Blockade measures ordered by Trump.
The United States included the island in this list in May 2020 and last January it also returned Cuba to the list of countries that sponsor terrorism, one of the last decisions that the Republican president made before leaving the White House.
Recently, the deputy director of Multilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, María del Carmen Herrera, said that four months after Biden came to power there has been no change in Washington's aggressiveness.
During a virtual conversation with UK solidarity activists, she stressed that all the measures and restrictions imposed by Trump remain unchanged, despite the promises he made during the election campaign to review bilateral relations.
