Havana, January 14, 2020. In his account on the social network Twitter, he described in this way the progress of the links during the previous year, in terms of diplomatic relations and bilateral cooperation.
Rodríguez recalled that during 2019 the Second Cuba-European Union Joint Council was held and the first cycle of political dialogues concluded under the Agreement on Political Dialogue and Cooperation.
He also stressed that both sides continue to advance economic-commercial and collaborative ties.
Brussels and Havana signed the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement in December 2016, and ratified it in November 2017, after the abandonment by that block of the so-called common position, which conditioned the bilateral relationship to demands considered by Cuba unacceptable.
