Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez received on Wednesday at the Foreign Ministry headquarters the ambassador of Turkey, Vehbi Esgel Etensel, with whom he discussed the progress of ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, he stressed that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and confirmed the willingness to continue strengthening economic, trade, financial and cooperation ties.
Diplomatic ties between the two nations were established in 1952 and have been characterised by mutual respect and a positive atmosphere.
Türkiye has voted every year at the UN General Assembly in favour of the resolution on the need to end the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
