Continuing this week of Cuban culture in Zimbabwe on March 12, Michel Herrera and his Young Jazz band performed at the 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale, Harare. The young Cuban outstanding saxophonist gave an excellent concert with free admission, in which he played some of his best known hits. The last part of the presentation was Cuban popular dance music, with themes known and celebrated by the audience.
The Minister of Youth, Art, Sports and Recreation, the well-known Olympic medalist Kirsty Coventry, was present and thanked the musicians for the talent demonstration when listening to various Cuban music genres, and took the opportunity to express the need for a greater cultural exchange between both Nations In addition to the Minister, several representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Zimbabwe attended, in addition to all those interested in spending a night of jazz and Cuban music.
