Cuban leaders congratulate their new counterparts in Vietnam

President Miguel Díaz-Canel, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, and the head of the Cuban National Assembly, Esteban Lazo, sent messages of congratulations to their newly elected Vietnamese counterparts.
 
In a letter to the new head of state of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Cuban president ratified the will to continue strengthening bilateral ties based on the unconditional support, mutual political trust and solidarity that characterize the relations between the two countries.
 
Marrero reiterated to the new head of Government of the Indochinese nation, Pham Minh Chinh, Cuba's determination to work on the development of future projects in all spheres of common interest.
 
In his message to Vuong Dinh Hue, the new president of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Lazo expressed votes for the strengthening of bilateral relations and, especially, between the respective legislatures.

Last week, the Vietnamese Parliament voted for the occupants of 25 senior leadership positions in the state and government apparatus for 2021-2026. In May, the 500 members of the National Assembly for the same period will be elected. (Prensa Latina)
