The first secretary of Cuba Communist Party Central Committee, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent congratulations messages to their Vietnamese counterparts on the occasion of the Vietnam 75th National Day, this September 2.
In his words, the maximum party leader of Cuba ratified the Vietnam Communist Party secretary general and president of the country , Nguyen Phu Trong, the will to continue strengthening the close ties of friendship and cooperation that characterize the relations between both countries.
President Díaz-Canel reiterated the firm intention of continuing to strengthen relations between the two nations, by expressing in messages to the Vietnamese Head of State and to the Prime Minister, the Cubans´s pride for the historical ties between both peoples in the common struggle for freedom, independence and development.
Likewise, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, expressed congratulations to their Vietnamese counterparts, as well as their willingness to continue promoting and expanding bilateral cooperation and brotherhood ties.
Vietnam celebrates its national date on September 2, the day of the year 1945 when the Democratic Republic was born, which became the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
