Pretoria, August 20, 2020.- A Brigade of 19 Cuban doctors arrived today in the Kingdom of Eswatini, at the request of the government of that African country, to assist in the current health emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Among the professionals who have just arrived from the Island, after a transit through South Africa, include specialists in comprehensive general medicine, epidemiology, microbiology, intensivists, clinicians, and others.
A representation of the Eswatini government, led by the Kingdom's Health Minister, Senator Lizzie Nkozi, welcomed the Cuban doctors. Likewise, a representation of Cuban doctors who make up the Health Brigade, which since 2005 has been deployed in that country, participated in the welcoming ceremony.
