Among the professionals who have just arrived from the Island, after a transit through South Africa, include specialists in comprehensive general medicine, epidemiology, microbiology, intensivists, clinicians, and others.

Cuba reports 47 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours | MINSAP

Havana, August 11 - The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported 47 new cases detected yesterday of COVID-19, for a total of 3,093 positive cases across the island.

During his daily press briefing held Tuesday morning, Dr. Duran said that over the past 24 hours -- up until 12 midnight Monday night -- fortunately, no patients died from the coronavirus. A total of 88 patients have died in Cuba over the past several months.

Doctors who worked in St. Vincent and the Grenadines arrives back to Cuba

Havana, July 17, 2020 -- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel welcomed the brigade of health professionals that collaborated in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Upon the arrival of this group in the early hours of the morning at the José Martí International Airport in Havana, its members received via video the gratitude and recognition of the head of state on behalf of Army General Raúl Castro, the Cuban Communist Party and the population.
