Manila, April 3, 2025. The Philippine-Cuban Friendship Society expressed gratitude to the Cuban government for its unwavering commitment in the field of medicine, in a letter sent to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
The letter highlighted that the Cuban Medical Cooperation Program, whose objective is to provide healthcare to the neediest countries, based on the principles of solidarity and mutual support, has saved the lives of thousands of people.
As a graduate of the Latin American School of Medicine, the President of this friendship Association emphasized that in ELAM “resides the soul and commitment of the Cuban government and people to human well-being”.
It also noted that despite the difficulties generated by the US blockade to the Island, the Cuban people and government have never wavered in their commitments.
