St. Lucia´s Minister of Health thanks Cuban doctors´ help

Castries, Jul 17, 2020.- The Minister of Health of Saint Lucia, Mary Isaac, expressed on behalf of her people and government the gratitude to the Cuban health workers for their effort in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

As reflected on his Twitter account, the Cuban diplomatic mission in Santa Lucia territory, Isaac highlighted before local press the contribution and service provided by the Cuban health personnel during these months of struggle against Covid-19.

Cuba reports four new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours

Havana, July 17, 2020 -- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were four new cases detected of COVID-19, for a total of 2,444 positive cases across the island.

During his daily press briefing held Friday morning, Dr. Duran said that over the past 24 hours -- up until 12 midnight Thursday night -- fortunately, no patients died from the coronavirus. A total of 87 patients have died in Cuba over the past several months.

Andorra expresses gratitude to Cuba to fight Covid-19

Madrid, Jun 29, 2020.- Andorra ratified on Monday its gratitude to Cuba for the help given withby a Cuban medical brigade in the most difficult moments of the coronavirus pandemic in that nation. Thank you for being in this European country and also the Cuban authorities for having agreed to carry out this first mission in the Principality of Andorra', Foreign Minister Maria Ubach stressed during the farewell ceremony to the Cuban health workers.

Minister of Health of Dominica thanks Cuba´s aid in the battle against COVID 19

Roseau June 18, 2020. The Minister of Health, Wellness and New Investments in Health of the Commonwealth of Dominica, the Honorable Dr. Irving McIntyre, received at the Ministry headquarters the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in this sister nation of the caribbean, Ulises Arranz. Fernández. During the meeting, the Minister thanked Cuba for its collaboration in the battle against COVID 19, with the presence of a brigade of 34 collaborators from the Henry Reeve contingent, specialized in the treatment of epidemiological and natural disasters.

Díaz-Canel expresses confidence that Cuba can move quickly through the phases of recovery

Havana, June 18, 2020 - The President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, expressed his confidence that, because of the way in which we have worked in the country, we are in a position to move in all the provinces -- except for Havana and Matanzas -- to the first phase of the recovery stage of the disease and to advance, if we control it well, quite rapidly through the rest of the phases.
