Cuban Medical Brigade in Namibia celebrates its XXI Scientific Forum.

On January 16, the XXI Scientific Forum of the Cuban Medical Brigade was held in Windhoek, Namibia. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services of Namibia, Juliet Kavetuna, the Cuban Ambassador, Giraldo Mazola, other members of the Cuban diplomatic representation and a group of Cuban health professionals, representing their colleagues from different regions of this African country.

The papers presented covered case studies, analysis of particular experiences with some patients, practical solutions to specific problems and data collection and analysis. All the investigations had a high quality and were very interesting for the topics addressed, as well as for their recommendations and conclusions. At the end of the event a mention was given, a second, and a first place.

At the closing ceremony, the Deputy Minister of MOHSS expressed her gratitude for having been invited to the Forum and for the papers presented. She also urged Cuban doctors to continue being creative and innovative to continue helping the health system of her country.

On the other hand, the ambassador of Cuba, Giraldo Mazola, praised the rigor of the presented works and the English language skills of the doctors. He also stressed the importance of the work they do in each of the health centers where they work.

The Ambassador urged the participants to continue to represent the Cuban people and their Revolution with dignity and to dedicate to both of them the Scientific Forum.
