Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia celebrates Scientific Day.

Cuban health specialists working in Saint Lucia, as part of the Medical Brigade, held their scientific day last Saturday. The event was presided over by the Chief of the Brigade, Dr. Arvelio Ballester and the inauguration of this edition had the welcome participation of Doctor Alisha Eugene-Ford, Director of the Owen King Hospital, the main medical center in the country, and the Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas.

The event was divided into three working groups, in which different health topics and specialties were discussed, based on the work experience developed in Saint Lucia. An important moment was the exchange about the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic and the positive results achieved, which counted on the participation of Doctors from the Henry Reeve Brigade, who arrived in Saint Lucia this past March. The day allowed for a useful debate and exchange on topics of technical and scientific interest, which undoubtedly favor the best performance of our health specialists in Saint Lucia.
