Cuba's willingness to engage in serious and responsible dialogue with the U.S. government is not new.

It seeks to find a solution to bilateral differences, in accordance with International Law and respect for the sovereignty of both parties.

Therefore, it does not concern in any way the internal affairs, constitutional frameworks, or political, economic and social models of the two countries.
