Cuban mission in Grenada joins “My Signature for the Homeland”

Members of the Cuban mission in Grenada recently participated in the "My Signature for the Homeland" ceremony, where they reaffirmed their commitment to peace and the defense of the nation with their signatures. At the ceremony, led by Ambassador Yadirys Echenique Paz, the Cuban consul in Grenada, Ariel Pazos Ortiz, read the official statement.

After reading it, the Cuban diplomat affirmed that, in addition to being a symbolic gesture, the signature represents the affirmation of the best intentions of Cuba's representatives in Grenada, who work daily for the well-being of the country and to maintain its dignity on the international stage.

The statement recalled that the people of Cuba reaffirmed their conviction to defend the homeland on April 16, the 65th anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Revolution. It denounced the blockade and the economic war as genocidal acts and rejected the threats of military aggression. This event in Granada took place within the context of national celebrations commemorating the anniversary of the victory at Playa Girón and the socialist proclamation of the Revolution. From Cuba, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, called for a movement of solidarity and denunciation.
