To extend greetings on the occasion of the 66th Cuban Independence Day
Although the attack on the Moncada barracks in Santiago de Cuba on July 26, 1953, failed, the Cuban revolutionaries gathered a great experience from it. Building on that experience, on January 1st, 1959, the Cuban armed struggle ended with victory and eradicated the dictator Batista’s regime. Accordingly, on January 1st, 2025, the unique socialist revolution i.e. the Cuban revolution that is in world history, is being celebrated worldwide with a great pride.
We proudly declare that the entire membership of National Freedom Front, including the Political Bureau, joins with the World Anti-Imperialist for celebrating the 66th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. Our reading is each and every soldier who is leading the unending Cuban revolution is facing difficulties similar to those faced by all the chivalrous revolutionary comrades who led the Cuban armed struggle, including Comrade Fidel Castro and Comrade Che Guevara, sacrificing their precious lives.
The second decade of the 21st century is a time the entire world is enjoying the many achievements of modern science. Similarly, the people of the world have had the opportunity to enjoy the new inventions made by the Cuban people. The scientific approach adopted by Cuba in combating the dengue virus, as well as the vaccine developed by Cuba to combat the COVID-19 virus, are achievements that Cuba has made to modern medicinal science. We would also like to emphasize that they are the results of the achievements of Cuban medicinal science that are being enjoyed by the people of the whole world.
However, the negative consequences of the American imperialist regime on the Cuban people are not inconsequential. In recent days, the entire country has been without electricity for days, due to the American sanctions. However, the Cuban people have shown the American imperialists that they cannot reverse the Cuban Revolution by harassing the Cuban people. The millions of patriotic Cuban people have gathered in Havana, Cuba, vowed to defend the Cuban Revolution.
Let us take this opportunity to point out that the patriotic intervention of the Cuban people has given us great enthusiasm in Sri Lanka, where we are located tens of thousands of miles from Cuba. Finally, let us pledge that we, National Freedom Front, will join hands with the entire anti-imperialist in the world to defend the Cuban Revolution.
