Yakarta May 29th - Members of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic of Cuba have expressed their solidarity to the people of Indonesia in the face of the affectations that COVID-19 is causing to the country. Likewise, they have sent sincere condolences to the relatives of those killed by the pandemic.
In a message from deputy Manuel Oceguera Sierra, president of the Cuba-Indonesia Parliamentary Friendship Group, the wishes of success for the Southeast Asian nation in its fight against the SARS CoV-2 virus are also expressed. "In these difficult moments due to COVID-19, there is an urgent need to globalize solidarity, sensitivity and cooperation in favor of the common good." - Oceguera Sierra stressed.
The letter also commemorates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Cuba characterized by friendship and solidarity between two brother nations: "... We ratify the high esteem for the historical ties that unite us and reaffirm our will to continue strengthening them." -the Cuban deputy said.
