Cuban parliamentarians visit the Norwegian Parliament

Oslo, April 11, 2024. The deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (ANPP) who are in this city participating at the VIII International Conference of Parliamentarians on the Implementation of the Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), visited the Norwegian Parliament (Storting).

Rolando González Patricio, Arelys Santana Bello and Estela Cristina Luna Morales, presidents of the Commissions on International Relations; Attention to Youth, Children and Equal Rights of Women, and Health and Sports, respectively, of the ANPP, were received by Vibeke Rysst-Jensen, head of the Storting's International Department.

Accompanied by the Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, and led by Rysst-Jensen, the Cuban deputies enjoyed an interesting tour of the Storting building, during which they learned about the history, composition and functioning of the Norwegian legislative body.

On behalf of the delegation, Rolando González Patricio, who, in addition to the position he holds in the Cuban Parliament, serves as president of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (PARLATINO), expressed the willingness to work for the development of relations between the two countries at parliamentary level.
