Cuban President Díaz-Canel congratulates his counterparts from Palau and Tuvalu on the Anniversary of Independence

Suva, October 1, 2020. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Palau, HE Thomas Remengesau Jr, on the occasion of celebrating the 26th anniversary of independence of that Pacific Island State.

Likewise, the Cuban Head of State congratulated the Honorable Kausea Natano, Prime Minister of Tuvalu, a country that commemorates on this date 42 years of its constitution as an independent State.

In both letters, President Díaz-Canel confirmed "the will to continue developing relations of friendship and cooperation between our countries".

The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, also welcomed the celebrations in messages addressed to Faustina K. Rehuher Marugg and Simon Kofe, holders of Foreign Affairs portfolio of Palau and Tuvalu, respectively.
