Oslo, November 7, 2024. On October 28, at the University of Stavanger, a Seminar on Cuba was held, in which professors from the Department of Social Work of that University and Cuban professionals who are doing Master's and Doctoral stays there within the framework of the cooperation project “Well-being in Cuba and Norway. Strengthening professional training on social policies and well-being from an intercultural perspective”, actively participated.
During the aforementioned seminar, the following presentations were made:
-“Social demographic situation in Cuba and consequences of migration”, by MSc. Dianne Griñan Bergara, from the Department of Sociology of the University of Havana.
-“Current trends in Cuban external migration. Main challenges for Cuban demographic dynamics and society”, by MSc. María Ofelia Rodríguez Soriano, from the Center for Demographic Studies of the University of Havana.
-“The role of social networks in the process of implementing the rights of children and the family in Cuba”, by Dr. Niuva Avila Vargas and MSC. Yanelys Despaigne Ramírez, both from the Department of Sociology of the University of Havana. (Embacuba Norway)
