Nassau, January 25th, 2020. At the residence of the ambassador, Cuban residents and their families, collaborators, African students graduated from Cuba and the Embassy’s staff in The Bahamas met to celebrate the 167th birth anniversary of the National Hero José Martí and the 12th anniversary of the creation of the Association of Cuban residents in The Bahamas “Ismaelillo”.
In a beautiful party, the children had fun with Cuban games, while young and not so young shared experiences and anecdotes about the activities carried out in these 12 years. Among traditional dishes and Cuban music, the attendees advocated that the spirit of unity among all Cubans remain present in the future of the Association "Ismaelillo".
The Association of Cuban Residents in The Bahamas “Ismaelillo” was founded in Nassau on January 28th, 2008.
