Accra. January 25, 2025. - The Cuban State Mission in Ghana commemorated the 172nd anniversary of the birth of Cuba’s National Hero, with the inauguration of the art exhibition dubbed ‘Martí Vive’ (Martí Lives on).
The keynote address of the modest, but moving ceremony were given by Ambassador-designate Julio Enrique Pujol Torres, who called on the participants to work harder for the homeland, each doing their part of the duty, guided by the examples of Martí and Fidel. The diplomat stressed that the day became an act of revolutionary reaffirmation at a time when the re-elected occupant of the White House arbitrarily reincorporated Cuba on the list of countries who allegedly sponsor terrorism.
The new generations were represented by Jorge Enrique Pujol Hernández, who recited the poem “Cultivo una Rosa Blanca” (I grow a white rose). An edited video, originally made by the Minrex dedicated to the Apostle was also displayed.
Present at the event were the rest of the diplomatic mission in the country and a representation of the Medical Brigade in the Accra Region, headed by its Chief, Dr. Mailén Luisa López Zequeira.
