Cuban State Mission to Jamaica participates in blood donation day

Kingston, 16 June 2023. Around thirty members of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica carried out this week a massive blood donation throughout the Jamaican territory, in the framework of World Blood Donor Day, which is commemorated on June 14.

In the Jamaican capital, the donations given to the Alexander Bustamante Paediatric Hospital will contribute to surgical operations at the institution's Cardio-centre.

The authorities were grateful for the valuable gesture of the Cubans, who reaffirmed their willingness to support the brotherly people of Jamaica, even offering their own blood.
