Geneva, Switzerland, April 10, 2026. Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo held a meeting with Cuban residents in Switzerland and representatives of the solidarity movement with Cuba, in the context of her participation in the Conference on Humanitarian Action, Reparation, and Accountability in the Context of Unilateral Sanctions.
During the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Cuba in Geneva, the Vice Minister expressed her gratitude for the valuable support and solidarity shown to Cuba by the Cuban community residing in Switzerland and by the numerous organizations and individuals who, from Switzerland, support Cuba's struggle in defense of its sovereignty.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs informed participants about the brutal impacts of the economic blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, currently exacerbated by an energy siege. He also emphasized that the Island is prepared to confront these hostile and aggressive actions because it has a courageous and resilient people.
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange views. The presidents of the Swiss-Cuban Solidarity Association and the organization MediCuba presented the achievements of their solidarity work with Cuba. They highlighted the massive march in support of Cuba held in the streets of Geneva last March and the numerous donations sent to Cuba in recent months, including medical equipment and medicines.
