Antalya, March 14, 2022- The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, concluded yesterday afternoon a working visit to the Republic of Turkey, where she participated as Head of Delegation in the II Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which was held from March 11 to 13 in this Turkish city.
In the framework of her participation in the Forum, the Cuban Deputy Minister held an intense and positive bilateral agenda that included meetings with the authorities of the host country, among them: Minister of Tourism and Culture, Mehemt Nury Ersoy; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sedat Onal; Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar; Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Akif Cagatay Kilic and President of the Turkish Cooperation Agency (TIKA), Serkan Kayalar.
The Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister also had a cordial exchange with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who expressed satisfaction with Cuba's participation in the II Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
In addition, the Antillean Deputy Foreign Minister held meetings with the foreign ministers of Venezuela, Iraq, Equatorial Guinea, Sierra Leone and Seychelles, as well as with other political leaders invited to participate in the forum.
As part of his activities in this event, Rodriguez Camejo also participated as a speaker in the Round Table "Recoding Diplomacy", as well as in the panel "A vision for the development of Africa".
The conclave was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, under the auspices of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, aimed at generating debates on key aspects of current diplomacy, understood as a way for the peaceful resolution of international conflicts. The event brought together participants from 75 countries, including 17 heads of state and government, 80 ministers and representatives of 39 international organizations.
