Dublin, October 1, 2018.- The Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ana Teresita Gonzalez Fraga concluded her bilateral visit to Ireland in which she presided, together with the Secretary General of the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Niall Burgess, a fruitful and intense session of bilateral consultations.

Both parties exchanged information on various national and regional events, as well as on multilateral issues of mutual interest. They also outlined the next actions to develop jointly in the effort to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Ireland and Cuba and expand bilateral collaboration for the benefit of both peoples.

The Cuban delegation also held cordial meetings with the representatives of the Irish Parliament Thomas Pringle, coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba; Mary Lou McDonald and Sean Crowe, president and spokesperson for Foreign Affairs of Sinn Féin, respectively; Finian McGrath, deputy and also Minister of State for the Disabled.

As part of her work program, the Cuban Vice Chancellor held a fraternal meeting with friends of the Cuban Revolution belonging to various Irish sectors and institutions, as well as a representation of Cubans living in that European country.

The Vice titular of the Cuban Chancellery concluded with her visit to Ireland a working tour through several countries of Europe and Central Asia, which aimed to promote bilateral relations with the countries visited and to agree on new actions aimed at deepening the links taking advantage of the existing potentialities .
