Vientiane, 2024. The Cuban delegation, headed by Vice-President Salvador Valdés Mesa, participates in the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Kampala, Uganda. Once again, Cuba condemns the Israeli genocide when it points out: "the just demands of the Palestinian people have always found decisive support in the NAM. It has never been more imperative to unite global efforts to stop barbarism."
At another moment in his speech, he denounced and underlined the intensification of the siege and alleged economic asphyxiation, assuring that "the criminal and illegal economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba reaches unprecedented levels of aggressiveness and is extremely reinforced as the fundamental obstacle to the dreams of prosperity and development of 11 million Cubans."
These just demands were supported by the member countries participating in the important conclave.
