Cuban Vice Prime Minister participates in the 38th Ministerial Session. FAO Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean

Guyana, Georgetown, March 18,2024.Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, led the Cuban delegation to the FAO Regional Conference.Directors from MINCEX and MINAG are also present as part of the delegation.

The Ministerial Session of the 38th FAO Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean will take place from March 18 to 21 in Georgetown, Guyana. During the event, food security, the transformation of the region's agri-food systems, according to the reality of each country, the advance of fishing and aquaculture, the reduction of hunger and malnutrition, and the application of science in agriculture, among other topics to be discussed.
