Cuban youth in Grenada take part in the “Connecting Roots” Forum

Jóvenes cubanos en Granada participan en el foro “Conectando Raíces”

The international forum “Connecting Roots”, convened by the Union of Young Communists of Cuba (UJC), brought together participants from the diaspora in different countries. From the Embassy of Cuba in Grenada, young residents of this Caribbean nation joined the virtual meeting, where they reaffirmed their commitment to the homeland and to the values of the Revolution.

During the session, Alán Jareño Amil shared his testimony as a Cuban living in Grenada. He noted that although distance physically separates him from his native land, he maintains an active bond with Cuba and takes part in solidarity initiatives organized in Grenada.

At the close of the virtual exchange, the Consul of Cuba in Grenada, Ariel Pazos Ortiz, thanked the young participants for joining the forum and invited them to share their views on the topics discussed. He stressed that the embassy keeps its doors open for the youth community to raise any questions or concerns, reaffirming that the voice and action of nationals living abroad are also important for the nation’s development.

The participation of young people from Grenada in the “Connecting Roots” forum demonstrated that the sense of belonging transcends borders. Their voices joined the UJC’s call to strengthen ties with the diaspora and to reaffirm the will to accompany Cuba in present and future challenges.
