The collective of the Cuban Embassy, a representation of Ghanaian graduates in Cuba, members of the Cuban Medical Brigade, and Cubans living in Ghana, celebrated with a sporting event, the birthday 91 of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy, Julio César Sánchez Martínez, at the inauguration of the homage highlighted the qualities of Fidel as an athlete, and his role in the development of the Cuba-Ghana sports partnership. The athletic day, organized jointly by the Cuban Embassy and ESBECAN, was characterized by fraternization in sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball and chess, in which the Ghanaians and the Cubans, especially the children and the young people present, demonstrated their skills.
