Namibia, August 11, 2018- The 92nd birthday of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro was celebrated in Namibia with an escalation to the highest point of Windhoek, a mountain on the outskirts of the capital of this country.
The event, held for the second year in a row, was attended by around 150 people, including Cuban collaborators, Cuban residents, members of the Namibia Cuba Friendship Association, members of the diplomatic corps and Namibian students on the Island.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to Fidel's ideas and the intention to continue working for the development of Cuba and Namibia. By the way, Cuban residents were explained the process that will allow their participation in the debates on the Draft Constitution.
The call to the event was made the day before from the Good Morning Namibia program of the national network NBC. During the interview, the Second Mission of the Embassy of Cuba, Aldo Luis Fuentes Acosta also discussed the legacy of the Commander in Chief and how his figure is remembered in both countries, as in the rest of the world.
