Cubans living in Türkiye condemn attack on Venezuela and pay tribute to fallen combatants.

Cubans residing in Türkiye express their rejection of the military aggression carried out by the United States against Venezuela on January 3, as well as the kidnapping of the constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and his wife, Cilia Flores. This act represents a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter. Therefore, we demand respect for Venezuela’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence, as well as the immediate release of the Venezuelan president and his wife. These actions also raise serious concern about the course proposed by the current U.S. government for a world in which the law of the strongest prevails, based on hegemonic principles and lacking respect for International Law.

Cubans residing in Türkiye also express their deepest condolences for the fallen in combat—the 32 fighters who lost their lives defending the brotherly Venezuelan people and their President, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the military aggression carried out by U.S. forces. These heroes, who fought to their last breath while honoring the sacred duty of every internationalist, demonstrated that Cubans are willing to give everything for the independence of Cuba.

In this context, we also convey our concern regarding statements made by President Donald Trump about reviving the Monroe Doctrine. We recall the danger that its implementation poses to the independence and self-determination of the peoples of the Americas, including Cuba. For this reason, we firmly oppose its implementation and demand that Latin America be respected as a Zone of Peace.

Long live the Cuban Revolution
Long live the Bolivarian Revolution
Long live the unity and independence of Latin America, Our America
Eternal Glory to the martyrs of January 3
