Cubans in Malaysia hold annual meeting

Kuala Lumpur, February 25th - Cubans living in Malaysia along with members of the Association of Friendship with Cuba held their annual meeting in which they greeted the 58th anniversary of the Revolution.

In her words to the audience, the Cuban Ambassador, Ibete Fernández, highlighted the coincidence of the date with the third month of the physical disappearance of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro. She also underlined the contribution of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution to place Cuba in a prominent place in the concert of nations thanks to which Cubans anywhere in the world are respected and recognized, affirmed that our best homage will be to be better every day in any work they do.

During her speech the ambassador announced the participation of three delegates in the 8th regional meeting of solidarity with Cuba that will take place in the Philippines in April to come.

In a hand-to-hand Cuban singers and Malaysian musicians sang iconic songs of Cuban culture to seal the evening.
