Cubans residents in The Bahamas promote Cuban traditions in a Bahamian cultural space.

NASSAU, May 21, 2019.- With the participation of Cuban residents, Bahamians, friends from other nations and the important local television network ZNS, the event "All things Cuban" was held on Saturday May 18 at the popular cultural space "The Place for Art".

The initiative, designed and organized by the prestigious Canadian artist based in the Bahamas, Kim Smith, confirmed the appreciation for Cuban art and traditions in this nation. During an exchange with the Cuban Ambassador, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, the host announced his intention to turn this into an annual event.

Among the main attractions of the gathering were the culinary samples of Cubans residents Annie Martin and Maricela Mendoza, who presented distinct edges of the typical flavor of Cuban food. The attendees enjoyed a warm and welcoming space, decorated with patriotic colors, a good selection of traditional music and the exquisiteness of authentic Cuban food and cocktails. Representatives of the new generations of Cubans also testified to the importance of these meetings to further fuse the bonds of love and solidarity between two close nations in geography and history.
