In a solemn ceremony, His Excellency, Mr. Julio César González Marchante, presented to His Excellency Cornelius A. Smith, Governor General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, the Credentials that accredit him as ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Caribbean country.
In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the Governor General and the Cuban diplomat exchanged on the good state of bilateral relations and ratified the will in expanding and strengthening ties on issues of common interest.
The ambassador conveyed a warm greeting from President Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez and his wishes of prosperity for the people of The Bahamas.
The Head of State was accompanied by other government officials. On the Cuban side, the First Secretary of the embassy, Flora Katiuska Valdés Pereira-Cabral, and the heads of the Health and Education Collaboration brigades, Dr. Lorenzo Pérez Sánchez and José Reinel García Sánchez, respectively, attended.
