The members of Cuba's State Mission in Saint Lucia made an appointment this past Saturday to vote in the Referendum for the new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba. The Cuban diplomats, led by Ambassador Alejandro Simancas, together with the collaborators in the sectors of Health, Sports and Construction attended the Electoral College, from the early morning hours, organized at "Villa Apartments", where the majority of the collaborators reside, in order to exercise their right to vote and to show their commitment to their homeland. The attendance of all anticipated and foreseen voters was confirmed during this process, which once again showed its democratic and participative nature. The Constitution Project submitted to Referendum has been the result of a profound process of the participation of the people and after approval by the National Assembly of the People's Power. The national Referendum will be taking place on February 24th, a historical date which marks the resumption of the War for Independence.
