Danish people learn about Cuban medical cooperation in Zimbabwe

The magazine of the Cuba Friendship Association in Denmark published an extensive report on the activity of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe.

During a recent visit to Zimbabwe, journalist and political activist Sven-Erik Simonsen and his wife, Helle Bruun, widely shared with Cuban collaborators, learning about their living conditions, characteristics of their work and the impact of the same on the health of the population.

In a visit to the Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare, Mr. Simonsen who is also the president of the Cuban Friendship Association in Denmark, visited the main areas where Cuban professionals worked and exchanged with employees and hospital officials, which allowed him to elaborate his extensive report .

"We've heard a lot about Cuban doctors in Africa, but we've never had a chance to see them on the ground," Sven-Erik said.
In the preparation of the trip they received the support of the Cuban ambassador in Denmark Yiliam Gómez and in their tour were accompanied by the Cuban ambassador in Zimbabwe Elio Savón Oliva.
