Statement
We denounce and condemn the new imperialist intervention plan in the internal affairs of Cuba, which is materialized by the United States as orchestrators and the various known and unknown "dissidents" of the Miami anti-Cuban mafia as executors. It is a plan that has been in the works for a long time through campaign, expensive and well-coordinated propaganda on the Internet, social media, and various media outlets. Once again the provocateurs use the old lies about the alleged violations of human rights and freedoms, as in the case of the recent European Parliament Resolution on an alleged dictatorship at the expense of the Cuban people, taking advantage of the extremely difficult situation for Cuba , which under the conditions of the inhuman and criminal North American blockade is facing the COVID 19 pandemic and its consequences, with the deficiencies that have caused the new additional measures of the United States against Cuba, taken by the Trump government and applied by the Biden government.
Their lies are provocative. They even present everything distorted, hide the massive demonstrations of the Cuban people who take to the streets to support their conquests, and present them as if they were against the government. Despite the fact that even bourgeois forces in the capitalist world are forced to respect the avant-garde example of Cuba, of that small "point" in the Caribbean, which despite the siege of the economic, commercial and financial blockade has managed to have the most low death toll from the corona virus, prepare 5 vaccines, organize internationalist medical brigade in solidarity with other peoples, even claiming the Nobel Peace Prize. In addition, a few days ago the condemnation of the US blockade was approved for the 29th time and with an overwhelming majority by the UN General Assembly, with the United States and Israel as the only votes against.
We know very well who incites and is behind the "spontaneous" anti-government demonstrations of the supposedly "outraged" who say they are fighting for freedom and democracy. In addition, the first who rushed to express their solidarity with the "right to assemble" and the "peaceful demonstration" are the leaders of the Biden government, congressmen and senators from Florida, where the anti-Cuban mafia works quietly and from where they have launched criminal plans and terrorist acts against Cuba and its territory. Close to all of them is also the European Union that came to call on the Cuban government to respect the protests.
But they try in vain. The proud Cuban people have passed through Simplegades without giving in. His heroic attitude against the permanent imperialist aggressiveness, from the North American blockade to the EU sanctions, from the Girón Beach and the open aggressions in Cuban territory to the modern war of fake news, is a beacon of hope for the peoples of all the world.
The peoples already have valuable experience about the "spontaneous demonstrations" for democracy, the provocations and imperialist interventions in the affairs of states that are not alienated with their interests. For this reason, calls for a "humanitarian intervention" are going to fall into the void. They will be confronted by the Cuban people themselves, supported by the solidarity movement that is firmly at their side.
The Greek people have unbreakable ties of friendship and solidarity with the Cuban people. The events in Cuba will generate the condemnation and indignation of the thousands of brigade members who have supported the Island of the Revolution, the hundreds of thousands of the people, the labor movement, hundreds of associations and organizations of the popular movement, of intellectuals, scientists, of men and women of culture and art who permanently express their solidarity with the proud and heroic Cuban people.
WE DEMAND THE END OF THE IMPERIALIST INTERVENTION IN THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF CUBA. WE FIGHT AGAINST THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED BY THE UNITED STATES AGAINST CUBA.
Cuba is not alone!
We have experience and memory. In a few days we will celebrate the 66th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada Barracks in Santiago de Cuba on July 26 and we will send a strong message of solidarity and support with the Cuban people.
