Declaration of the National Meeting 2015
ACRB "Martyrs of Barbados".

The Association of Cuban Residents "Martyrs of Barbados", concluding his National Meeting 2015 in the city of City of Bridgetown, Barbados, on the 8th day of November, accompanied by by representatives of the different organizations members of the Movement of Solidarity  Barbados-Cuba and Barbadian professional graduates in Cuba, declare:

First: Ratify the infinite love and respect for Cuba, our homeland, the renewed commitment to cultivate the values of our identity as a nation and the unshakable commitment to defend, wherever we are, the gains of the Cuban Revolution.

Second: We stand in solidarity with the Declaration and the resolutions adopted at the Second Regional Meeting of Cuban Residents in Nicaragua last October, which was recognized with joy the extraordinary visit to Cuba of Pope Francis, in his dual capacity "doer of the word God and builder of bridges of friendship "massively greeted by a sea of educated and enthusiastic people, who thanked the prominent role played in the process of restoration of relations between Cuba and the US.

Third: Take with deep patriotic meaning the name of Association of Cuban Residents "Martyrs of Barbados" that identify us with a symbol of the struggle of our people for the right to life, to pay tribute to victims of terrorism in all its demonstrations, and to step up the fight with the rest of humanity for the total elimination of this scourge.

Fourth: Ratify our appreciation and commitment to our second homeland, Barbados, the sister Caribbean country where we live today, which has welcomed us in her womb and before which, as industrious and Cuban leaders, we make the commitment to honor our work, respect and delivery.

Fifth: In our condition of Cuban devotees for peaceful coexistence and cooperation among peoples and governments of "Our America" as identified José Martí from the Rio Grande to Patagonia, renew support all efforts for real integration of our sister nations, recognizing the importance of mechanisms such as ALBA-TCP, Petrocaribe project, the creation of CELAC and the growing involvement of CARICOM within it; and in particular the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, agreed at the Second Summit of the CELAC, held in Havana in January 2014, which has also just considered our claim to be returned to Cuba the territory illegally occupied by the Naval Base of the United States in Guantanamo, which has been occupied for more than a century.

Sixth: In this context, our Association adds to the support of our people and welcomes the process towards normalization of relations between Cuba and the US on the basis of respect, freedom and self-determination of both countries.

Seventh: Recognize that this will be a long and complex process that will support, because it will pass through the lifting of the blockade, as it almost unanimously demanded the international community last October 27 to vote with 191 votes to 2 Cuban Resolution in the UN General Assembly; as you pass through the return of the Guantanamo Naval Base; for recognition of compensation to our people because of the human and material damage of state terrorism; and cessation programs that encourage internal subversion, including radio and television broadcasts from US territory illegal.

Eighth: We declare that we are proud sons of the Fatherland; heirs of the values instilled throughout the process of independence in our nation acrisoló; appreciative of the gigantic human work bequeathed to us by our ancestors; defenders anywhere in the world of honor and dignity conquered, accompanying our heroes of yesterday and today our leaders; aware that we are part of that victory that we now share with the peoples of the world; responsible to the present and future generations to invoke our essence, without sacrificing Marti's legacy:

"Homeland is Humanity"; "Those who do not have the courage to sacrifice for their country, they should at least have the courage to remain silent before those that do."
