Montego Bay, May 16, 2024 - A Cuban delegation headed by the First Deputy Chief of the General Customs of the Republic of Cuba (AGR), Wiliam Pérez González, participated in the XXVI Regional Conference of Directors General of Customs of the Americas and the Caribbean and the IV Joint Forum Customs-Regional Private Sector Group of the Americas and the Caribbean, which was held in this Jamaican city from 13 to 15 May.
During the working sessions it was possible to present to the regional counterparts the progress in the performance of the AGR and the important role and place played by women in the institution, who account for 70% of the forces and 54% of management positions, which is a strength.
Meetings were also held with representatives of other customs authorities in the region to establish and strengthen bilateral institutional relations and technical cooperation.
