Accra, 20 November. The delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), visiting Ghana to participate in the International Conference commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Fifth Pan-African Congress, held a fraternal meeting today with Johnson Asiedu Nketia, President of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

At the same time, Imber Chaple underscored Ghana’s principled position in support of the resolution against the blockade that Cuba presents annually before the United Nations.

Also in attendance were Karl Marx Arhim, Deputy Director of International Relations at the NDC, and veteran Ghanaian politician and long-standing friend of Cuba, Kofi Attor.

Accompanying the Deputy Head on the Cuban side were Julio E. Pujol Torres, Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana; Julio César Sánchez Martínez, Official of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the PCC; and Yamil Eduardo Martínez Marrero, Second Secretary of the Embassy.
