Delegation of Cuba´s statement during the Universal Periodic Review of Georgia

Mr. President:

We extend a warm welcome to the delegation of Georgia and acknowledge the country’s commitment to the Universal Periodic Review.

With a constructive spirit, we make three recommendations:

• Continue developing thematic recommendations to improve existing policies related to the rights of persons with disabilities.
• Continue implementing effective measures to strengthen the prevention of and response to trafficking in persons.
• Continue giving priority to women entrepreneurs in various programmes, with a view to promoting their economic empowerment.

We wish Georgia every success in this review and in the implementation of the accepted recommendations.
