Mr. President:
We warmly welcome the delegation of the Republic of Nauru.
We recognize Nauru’s commitment to the Universal Periodic Review and the progress achieved during the last cycle.
In a constructive spirit, we make three recommendations:
Continue adopting measures to strengthen food security and improve the accessibility and sustainability of food resources for the population
Continue expanding outreach programmes and counselling services for victims of gender-based violence, family tensions, or situations of socioeconomic vulnerability
Maintain cooperation with United Nations human rights mechanisms of universal, non-selective and non-discriminatory implementation.
We wish Nauru every success in this review and in the implementation of the accepted recommendations.
