Delegation of Cuba´s statement during the Universal Periodic Review of Ruanda

Mr. Vice-President,

We extend a warm welcome to the delegation of Rwanda. We recognize the country’s commitment to the Universal Periodic Review.

We acknowledge national efforts to reduce poverty and to ensure free, universal, inclusive and quality education.

In a constructive spirit, we put forward three recommendations:

• Continue national efforts to prevent and combat trafficking in persons.
   

• Continue implementing the 4×4 Health Workforce Reform in order to increase the number of health professionals in the coming years.
   

• Continue sustained progress to ensure access to food, safe drinking water and adequate sanitation.
   

We wish Rwanda every success in this review and in the implementation of the accepted recommendations.
