Delegation of Cuba´s statement during the Universal Periodic Review of Saint Kitts and Nevis

Mr. President,

We extend a warm welcome to the delegation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. We recognize the commitment of this Caribbean country to the Universal Periodic Review and the progress achieved during the most recent period.

We welcome the significant advances made in the protection of the human rights of vulnerable population groups. We highlight the establishment of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Ageing and Disabilities in August 2022.

In a constructive and respectful spirit, we make three recommendations:

1. Continue the implementation of the National Development Planning Framework 2023–2037.
    
2. Continue strengthening the National Social Protection Policy and Action Plan (2025–2030).
    
3. Continue implementing the Family Health Plan as a national effort to ensure universal access to primary health care.
    

We wish Saint Kitts and Nevis success in this review and in the implementation of the accepted recommendations.
