Delegation of the Ministry of Health of Cuba begins work in Türkiye

The Cuban delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Luis Fernando Navarro, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba (MINSAP), which is on an official visit to Ankara, Türkiye, began its work with its counterparts, with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties in the field of health.

On the first day of work, the Cuban delegation was received by the Deputy Ministers of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey: H.E. Prof. Dr. Tolga Tolunay, and H.E. Dr. Şuayip Birinci; as well as by Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan, President of Health Institues of Türkiye (TÜSEB). During the meetings they received extensive information on the Türkiye health system, as well as discussed possibilities for cooperation in the health sector, particularly in computerization and in the production and marketing of medicines and medical equipment.

The Cuban delegation is composed of: Ms. Olga Lidia Jacobo Casanueva, Director of the Cuban Center for the State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Equipment State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices; Dr. David Roger Curbelo Rodriguez, Commercial and Marketing Director of BioCubaFarma; Dr. Roselyn Martinez Viera, Deputy Director of Industrial Operations of the Finlay Vaccine Institute of the Finlay Vaccine Institute; Dr. Armando Garrido Beracierto, President MediCuba; Dr. Mariela Gil Mena Commercial Director of the Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology; Dr. Pedro M Perez Specialist of the International Relations Direction International Relations of the Ministry Public Health; Mr. Irving Griñán Arjona, Advisor to the Vice-Minister of Health of the Republic of Cuba.

The Cuban delegation was accompanied by H.E. Dr. Alejandro F. Díaz Palacios, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Türkiye.
